OUR STORY

The Rock was started in 1999 by Steven and Kimberly Parker who were sent out from Panama City under the covering of The Rock of Panama City and Apostle F. Nolan Ball. Back then, with just a few families, we had imagined a church that was truly welcoming to everyone - where everyone had a seat at the table regardless of personal history, family background, ethnicity, or gender. The Rock hosted its first gathering in late 1999 at the Homewood Suites Hotel in Lake Mary, Florida.

As The Rock continued to grow inward and outward we spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through teaching, outreach, activities, and missions. Our vision and mission is as strong today as it was way back in the beginning.

There is no lack of need for the Gospel and discipleship. Because of that we continue to listen to Holy Spirit and allow him to guide us and teach us new and innovative ways to reach people, both lost and found, so that whosoever will may find Christ just as we did.
