Here's the deal, The Rock cares about one thing more than anything else, sharing Jesus Christ and His Kingdom. The Rock is a family of individuals that have found hope and purpose in a relationship with Jesus Christ and a dependance on Holy Spirit. We simply want as many people as possible to experience that exact same freedom and relationship with the only Living God.
The Rock was started in 1999 by Steven and Kimberly Parker who were sent out from Panama City under the covering of The Rock of Panama City and Apostle F. Nolan Ball. Back then, the few families we had imagined a church that was truly welcoming to everyone - where everyone had a seat at the table regardless of personal history, family background, ethnicity, or gender. The Rock hosted its first gathering in late 1999 at the Homewood Suites Hotel in Lake Mary, Florida.
What's the bottom line? More than ever, The Rock is committed to fostering a family built around opportunity and change. Raising up Kingdom sons and daughters that honor God and make His name great in the earth. And as we move forward as a church family, inclusion and belonging remain at the center of who we are as followers of Christ.
